These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Steliara (the "Service"), a workspace for professional astrologers that provides chart calculation, people profiles, notes, recordings, and related tools. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
The Service is operated by Steliara ("Steliara", "we", "us", or "our"). Our full legal entity and registered address are set out in the Contact section. Online payments and subscription billing are handled by our Merchant of Record, Stripe, through Stripe Managed Payments. Purchases are processed by Link, a Stripe company, and may appear on your statement as "Sold through Link". Stripe's Consumer Terms apply to every purchase in addition to these Terms.
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for unlawful purposes; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems; (c) reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service; (d) upload content that is illegal, infringing, or violates the privacy or rights of others; or (e) use the Service to send spam or malicious code.
You retain ownership of the data you add to Steliara — including charts, profiles, notes, and recordings ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to store information about the people you work with, and for informing them as required by applicable law.
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, and may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
You may cancel at any time (see Refund & Cancellation). We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that harms us or other users. On termination you may lose access to Your Content; we recommend exporting any data you wish to keep.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Steliara's legal entity is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you have under your local law.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights regarding it. We act as the data controller for account data and as a processor for the data you store about the people you work with.
We process personal data under one or more of: performance of a contract (providing the Service), legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service), legal obligation (tax and accounting), and consent (where required, e.g. optional communications).
Stripe (and Link, a Stripe company) acts as our merchant of record and as an independent controller of payment and transaction data, under Stripe's own Privacy Policy. We also share data with service providers who process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements, including PostHog (product analytics, hosted in the EU), our hosting and database providers, and email delivery providers. We do not sell your personal data.
We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active. After account closure we delete or anonymize data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, tax, or security purposes.
Consultation audio recordings are kept for six months from the day they are made and then deleted automatically. Transcripts and summaries created from them stay with the profile until you delete them or close your account.
Data may be processed in countries outside your own. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and you may object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in the Contact section. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, but we work to protect your data.
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. Stripe may set cookies during checkout to process payments securely. With your consent, we also use analytics cookies (via PostHog) to understand how the Service is used; you can accept or decline these in the consent banner, and analytics are off until you opt in.
We want Steliara to be useful for your practice. This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work. Payments are processed by Stripe as Merchant of Record (purchases appear as "Sold through Link"), and refunds are issued through Stripe/Link.
If you are a consumer in the EU/UK, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal within 14 days of purchase. By starting to use a digital service during that period you may agree that the service begins immediately, which can affect this right. Nothing in this policy limits mandatory rights under your local law.
