How the calculations are made
Positions come from the Swiss Ephemeris, the astronomical engine behind professional astrology software. The tools use the sidereal zodiac with the Lahiri ayanamsha, the standard in India, and a dasha year of 365.25 days. Your birth place is turned into a time zone so that the local birth time becomes the right moment in world time.
